Timeless Human Remains-Teeth 2018

7 Various size and material fossil-like plate

Unlike the previous works, the fact that these tooth residues are on the same plate as the group adds a different meaning layer to them, unlike their biology; it is the story of the teeth.

In my search for people who have never existed or disappeared, I allow the audience to write their own stories on these teeth by grouping their bodily remains that will never disappear. What I mean is that these teeth come together on the same slab floor, leaving them behind their individuality and becoming unity and community. Apart from questioning their biology, the viewer raises questions such as the relationship of the owners of the teeth with each other, their social position or their relationship with other societies.

Asking these questions is the main aim of the work that feeds and maintains the foundation of the work.
